Bradley Walsh walks off The Chase as contestant wins huge after 'worst cash-builder ever'

Bradley Walsh walked away from one contestant on The Chase after they secured a staggering win after "the worst cash-builder ever".

The ITV presenter couldn't believe player Janty's impressive victory against Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan after answering zero questions correctly in her cash-builder round.

Janty's uninspiring performance, on Thursday, left viewers shocked and Jenny was forced to tempt the contestant with a higher offer of £40,000 after refusing to give the player a lower sum than zero.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Janty's cash-builder as one remarked: "Did that actually just happen? That was without a doubt the worst cash builder I’ve ever seen."

Another quipped: "Good Lord, never seen someone get 0 #TheChase."

Janty branded her performance "rubbish" but opted to go for the £40,000 offer after stating: "You're only here once."

Despite her initial poor performance, Janty outsmarted the Chaser and made it through to the final chase with five figures in the prize fund.

Bradley was left stunned by the head-to-head result and ran off the set with his arms in the air shouting: "I cannot believe that!"

He commented: "Janty that was tremendous. That will go down for me in Chase history. That was absolutely thrilling. I loved every second of that."

The Chase viewers were thrilled with the unexpected turn-of-events as one tweeted: "Incredible game by Janty! One of the greatest ever. She’s a hustler! #TheChase Boom!," and another wrote: "If Janty wins this they may as well shut the show down, it will never ever be peaked. #thechase."

"That's the best comeback since Lazarus, Brad. Well done Janty. Played Jenny like a proper hustler. #thechase," another viewer observed.

"She’s only gone and done it. Well done Janty! #TheChase," a fourth said.

However, Janty's victory was short-lived as she was unable to take home the £40,000 she'd won in her duel against The Vixen.

Janty was the only contestant to make it through to the final on Thursday and answered six questions correctly standing alone.

The Vixen matched the contestant's score in just 34 seconds.
