Bradley Walsh turns down big opportunity after clash with The Chase

Bradley Walsh has revealed how he turned down a major opportunity to appear on The Chase.

The 61-year-old has presented the ITV game show since its inception in 2009.

He appears alongside The Chasers, Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis.

However, on tonight's show, Bradley revealed that due to a conflict in schedule with The Chase, he had to say no to appearing at a huge event.

Speaking to contestant Dominique, Bradley asked her what she would do with any potential prize money.

Dominique said that as a huge comic book fan, she would love to attend Comic-Con in San Diego.

Bradley said: "I was asked to go to that and I couldn't go."

Dominique asked: "What were you going to dress up as?"

Bradley said: "I was going to dress up as me strangely enough, as I was in a show called Doctor Who.

"So I could have gone to that.

"But I couldn't go, do you know why?"

Bradley shouted: "Because I was doing this."

He later joked that he definitely "wasn't bitter" about not being able to attend the convention.
