Bradley Walsh turns 'angry' after reading question on The Chase

Bradley Walsh was angered during the latest instalment of The Chase after a certain question was read out.

As usual, the 62-year-old welcomed four new players to the ITV studio on Monday. They were Bob from Hertfordshire, Donna from Angus, Catherine from Dublin, and Reise from Chessington.

They had come along to take on one of Britain's biggest brains in the hopes of leaving with some cash, and they were up against Mark Labbett, aka The Beast.

Unfortunately, Bob was caught by the Chaser, and he left the studio empty-handed. Donna was next up to face The Beast, and it was a question she was asked that left Bradley disappointed.

Reading out the question, Bradley said: "What was introduced as a pilot event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games?" The possible answers were angling, ten-pin bowling, or esports.

Bradley then asked Mark "what is an esport?" to which the Chaser replied: "Computer games". A shocked looking Bradley added: "What? At the Commonwealth Games? What? Like Pacman and stuff, is that a joke?"

The Beast told Bradley to ask his son Barney [to explain it to him], before Bradley replied: "Is that a joke? That's a joke surely".

C, esports, was in fact the correct answer - and Donna and The Beast had both got it right. On hearing this, Bradley said: "No... I'm angry now".

Fans watching at home noticed the interaction and took to Twitter to have their say. Remy said: "Computer gaming ain't no sport", while Elizabeth said: "Yep, pretty sure I read it was esports somewhere", and Ashley said: "Surprised he didn't know what esports are tbh".

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
