Bradley Walsh has transformed into Pop Larkin in the first look at the new cast of the Darling Buds of May remake, The Larkins.
A trailer for the eagerly-awaited ITV reboot of the much-loved 90s TV show was released on Thursday, with Bradley in character as the beloved patriarch Pop.
The role was made famous by David Jason in the original series, which aired from 1991 to 1993, but The Chase host has made the character his own, as he rocked a waistcoat and sideburns to introduce himself and his onscreen family to viewers.
“Hello everyone, Pop Larkin here. Larkin by name, Larkin by nature, father, entrepreneur and bon viveur. Too fancy? Well, nonetheless, meet the rest of my family,” he told the camera.
Joanna Scanlan, best known for her roles in The Thick of It and Getting On, then appeared on screen as the kindhearted matriarch Ma Larkin, who was played by Pam Ferris in the original.
“I'm Ma Larkin, loving mother and provider, I couldn't be prouder of my family, and you'll often find me plucking a goose,” she laughs.

Bridgerton 's Sabrina Bartlett is up next, and she introduces her character, Pop and Ma’s strong-willed daughter Mariette.
“I'm Mariette Larkin and I love my family. But I've got itchy feet, and just to be clear I don't just sit around and look pretty,” she complains, as she appears alongside her younger siblings, twins Zinnia and Petunia, Montgomery, Victoria and Primrose.

Sabrina looks uncannily like her predecessor, Hollywood actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who made her acting debut as Mariette in the show back in the 1990s.
The Larkins was announced last year, and ITV bosses have confirmed it will now premiere on 10 October.
Other cast members include Tok Stephen, who plays Mariette’s love interest Cedric 'Charley' Charlton, and Bradley's son Barney has landed a role as a village policeman.

Simon Nye has penned the script for the TV reboot, which will focus on the Larkin family who were first brought to life by novelist H.E. Bates in his 1958 novel, The Darling Buds of May.
During a press event to promote the show, Bradley said he agreed to play the role of Pop “immediately”, despite only watching one episode of the original show.
“I hope the viewers really take it to their hearts. I am a family man so it was a joy to film,” he told MailOnline, adding that he wants viewers to feel like they’re one of the Larkins.
It’s also been confirmed that there will be a Christmas special of The Larkins, which will air later this year.
