Bradley Walsh stunned with The Chase player's impressive £10k cash-builder

Bradley Walsh was left gobsmacked on Wednesday's edition of The Chase after one player seriously impressed him.

In an extremely rare moment, a contestant named Nick bagged £10,000 during the cash-builder segment after answering a staggering 10 questions in a row correctly.

Nick, who revealed he works as a project manager for chocolate brand Cadbury’s, was certainly lucky with one of the questions.

Bradley asked Nick: "The Lindt museum is home to a 9.3 metre-high fountain of what food?" and, of course, he knew the answer and replied: "Chocolate."

Bradley shot a stunned look down the camera as he tried to keep his composure to reel off the remaining questions.

And by the end of the round, 60-year-old Bradley was visibly shocked and exclaimed: "Ohhh, the Chocolate King!"

Nick was similarly stunned and said: "I can’t believe there was a question about chocolate."

"Join the club! 10, that never happens. £10,000, five figures, never happens! What a start that is for the team," Bradley added.

Fans of the ITV show were also stunned and took to Twitter to praise Nick for his impressive first round.

One viewer tweeted: "Phenomenal £10,000 cash-builder from Nick!" while another penned: "Wow. 10 on the cash builder. He needs to go for the top offer."

"10 THOUSAND!", remarked a third viewer who was watching the iconic performance.

However, Nick's winning streak was unfortunately cut short as he began to crumble under the pressure.

Bradley was certainly impressed and told Nick it 'never happens' on the ITV gameshow (ITV)

During his round against Chaser Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, he began answering questions wrong.

He was caught by the quizzing extraordinary and failed to make it through to the final round.

Bradley said: "I've never lost such a good player in a long long while."

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
