Bradley Walsh shares surprise link to Laura Hamilton as she competes on Celebrity Chase

Bradley Walsh surprised viewers as she revealed his connection to one of the contestants on The Celebrity Chase on Sunday night.

The Chase host Bradley, 62, stunned fans and others in the studio as he revealed he has known contestant Laura Hamilton, who took part in the celebrity special of the quiz show, for many years.

As A Place in the Sun host Laura, 40, prepared to face the Chaser, Bradley revealed: "Next to face the Chaser, it's friend and TV presenter Laura Hamilton."

"Laura, welcome to the show. I've got to tell everyone; I've known Laura since she was about that big," he said placing his hand low to the ground to indicate he knew the TV star in her youth.

He then explained: "Laura come and worked with me about 15/16 years ago in Milton Keynes in the theatre.

"You played Cinderella, we had such a laugh."

Laura was then seen nodding as she said: "We did. But it took 72 shows for you to make me laugh," sparking a laugh from the audience.

Bradley has appeared in many pantomimes over the years.

And it's not the only time his panto career has collided with his presenting gig on The Chase.

Last year, a quizzer competed on The Chase and revealed they had worked with him in another panto in 1995.

Natalie appeared on the show and discussed her hobbies as she prepared for the cash builder round.

She revealed: "I like musical theatre, and things like that," Natalie told him.

Bradley then asked: "Did you go to a musical theatre school as well?"

The contestant said: "No I used to perform a little bit when I was younger – I was actually in a pantomime with yourself back in 1995, when I was eight."

Natalie then revealed the panto was Goldilocks and the Three Bears in St Albans, to which the host said: "Oh yes, well it's nice to see you again. Look at you."
