Bradley Walsh reveals secret health battle that makes him look different

The Chase host Bradley Walsh has revealed a hidden health battle that many fans won't be aware of.

Bradley suffers a disorder called blepharitis which causes his eyelids to become red and swollen.

The 61-year-old presenter said he will need surgery one day for the condition which can cause his face to look puffy on air.

“I have to take one pill a day for it or I really struggle. I am going to need my eyes operated on at some point to sort it out.

“So many times, people have commented on how I look. But they don’t realise. If I take medication though, I’m fine.”

Bradley previously discussed his condition on This Morning in 2017 with hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.

The chipper telly favourite told the couple that blepharitis causes red, swollen, itchy eyelids and flakes or crusts at the base of the eyelashes.

In extreme cases sufferers wake up with their eyelids completely stuck together.

The condition can often lead to dry eyes, cysts and conjunctivitis.

Bradley played Danny Baldwin in Coronation Street from 2004 to 2006 and has presented the popular teatime gameshow The Chase since 2009.
