Bradley Walsh was quick to question a player after his decision to go for the low offer after an impressive cash builder.
Tommy, 19, told Bradley that he was a performer and had just graduated from "prestigious" drama college Italia Conti.
The Middlesex native said that his dream was to appear in Mary Poppins on stage.
He managed to score a respectable £6,000 in his cash builder, before going up against The Dark Destroyer, Shaun Wallace, who was tonight's Chaser.
Tommy's teammates told him to go for the £6,000 he'd earned, but he made the controversial decision to go for the low offer of £1,000.
Bradley was quick to question his decision and asked him if he thought his cash builder was a fluke.
Tommy said: "Yeah I think it was a fluke, I really want to get back to my team."
Shaun agreed with his decision to go low and said: "With your youth, you're going to be an asset in the final Chase."
But viewers at home were frustrated with Tommy's decision and took to social media in their droves to condemn him.
Alan Hendrix said: "Tommy that was a ridiculous decision."
Dave said: "Oh no Tommy oh no oh no oh no you’ve gone down in my estimations."
Despite Tommy's best efforts Shaun caught him and he went home with nothing.
Bradley said: "You did really well in your cash builder, but I think you were undone by your age in the end."
Tommy admitted he was hoping for more modern questions and Bradley said: "I thought you were a very very good player, make sure you keep up the entertaining, good luck in all you do."
