Bradley Walsh overruled by The Chase bosses after mistake

Bradley Walsh was overruled by bosses on The Chase after he failed to accept a correct answer.

Paula, Steve, Carol and Tom were all on the show hoping to win big.

First contestant Paula had a solid round, winning £5,000 in her cash builder and successfully defeating Paul Sinha in the head to head.

Up next was Steve, who at first appeared to match Paula's £5k win in the first round.

However, there was confusion after one of Steve's answers to a question in the cash builder.

Bradley had asked: "What type of spray can was invented by the Norwegian Erik Rotheim?"

Steve answered: "Rattle can".

Bradley didn't accept the answer, saying it was in fact 'aerosol'.

However, at the end of the round, Bradley said there had been an error and Steve had actually won £6,000.

Bradley said: "Right, I called a no on the ‘Rattle Can' answer, but I have got to say that our adjudicators have given you that.

"So you have scored £6,000."

In the head-to-head Steve stuck with his £6k and made it through to the final chase with a prize fund of £22,000 on offer.

The team scored 18 and after seven push back attempts were victorious against The Sinnerman.
