Bradley Walsh left speechless with ITV The Chase contestant

Bradley Walsh was left speechless by one of the contestants on today's episode of The Chase.

Jo, from Milton Keynes, appeared on the ITV quiz show and went head-to-head against Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan after banking £2,000 in the cash builder.

The primary school teacher was making her way through the round and was one from home when one question seemed ready to catch her out.

She was asked: "The word 'crayon' comes from the French for what substance?"

The possible answers were a) chalk, b) oil and c) wax.

Jo answered a) chalk, leaving Bradley speechless and open-mouthed.

The quiz host eventually said: "Why have you done that? Why have you chosen chalk when you know crayons are made of wax?"

Doubting her instincts and The Vixen giving nothing away, Jo said she wasn't sure.

This is what happens on The Chase when all contestants are caught before final

But he was forced to go back on his words when the correct answer was revealed as chalk.

He said: "Well, I would have be out all day long," before adding: "well, you are an art teacher so you should know, really."

Vindicated, Jo joined the rest of her team as the chaser confirmed she had also answered correctly.
