Bradley Walsh gives more than half of multi-million pound fortune over to son Barney

Bradley Walsh has given his son Barney access to more than half of his fortune. The TV star and his 25-year-old offspring have a famously close bond and have worked together on telly projects in the past.

Now the Chase host has made his son a director at two of his companies, Barnstormer Holdings Ltd and Wingit Productions Ltd The comic, 62, put Barney in joint control of Barnstormer Holdings after he was added to the board at the start of the month.

It is believed that the company has assets worth around £1.86 million. Barney was added a director to Bradley's other business, Wingit Productions, in March 2020.

That's the firm behind the former Wheel of Fortune host's TV earnings - such as The Chase and its spin-offs.

The last set of accounts showed that the business had over £12.5 million of assets.

The lookalike pair front their own popular series on ITV - Bradley Walsh and Son: Breaking Dad - billed as a "coming of age road trip" around the world.

The first two seasons saw the duo drive across the United States, taking part in various wild adventures along the way including a skydive, feeding alligators, ghost hunting and attempting to rodeo to hysterical results.

The most recent two seasons saw the pair embark on a 3,000-mile trip around Europe, still with their crazy antics.

It comes after Bradley joked last month he'd had enough of his daily ITV quiz show, with Mark Labbett (The Beast) replying that they already had a replacement lined up.

The comedic moment came when, after a wrong answer was given by a contestant, Walsh said he had "had enough" of the hit game show.

The Chaser mmediately urged the host to retract his statement and identified who his replacement would be. Labbett told Walsh: "Don't say that. Phillip Schofield will be here in a heartbeat."

Walsh quipped back: "He's never been in Heartbeat. That was Nick Berry."

Bradley, whose mum hailed from just outside Glasgow, has been heavily involved with The Chase since its conception.

In April, he was forced to apologise after breaking part of the show's set after becoming overexcited during a high-stakes moment.

The gaffe had all the contestants in hysterics as he quickly apologised.

"I've cracked it, I'm so sorry. Have we got a spare?" after smashing his hand down onto a table.

"If you win the £35k, can you lend me a couple of quid?" Bradley joked to the contestant as he admitted his error.
