Bradley Walsh drags The Chase contestant off set after rule break

Bradley Walsh needed to pull a celebrity guest on The Chase to the side on an episode last night.

The former Coronation Street star host said that actress Lucy Porter was trying to 'ruin' his show by breaking the rules.

On the repeat episode, broadcast from 5pm on Friday, August 27, Bradley asked Lucy 'Picasso at the Lapin Agile' is an award-winning play by which actor-comedian?'

But during the question, Lucy became so animated that she clicked her buzzer before Bradley had completed the multiple choice answers, Birmingham Live reports.

The answers presented where a, Billy Crystal, b, Steve Martin or c, Martin Short.

Bradley asked: "Did you press that button? I tell you something now...

"I don’t care how much you love him more than me, you cannot press the button until I’ve finished reading the question!

"Don’t come and try and run the show, we are going to fall out my dear.

"I’m the one who says what you put, you don’t press the button before I have finished the question."

He then continued with the show but before Bradley could reveal the answer Lucy has picked, she decided to announce she'd answered Steve Martin herself.

This caused Bradley to pull her to the side of the stage, he joked: "I say what you've put, you don't.

"I'm the one who says what you put. You do not press the button until I finish the actual question and I'm the one who says what you've put.

"You don't come on here trying to run the show, okay? We are going to fall out my dear."

Jay Rayner, Steve Davies and Krishnan Guru-Murthy were also on the show.

Viewers were left delighted after the team managed to get past Anne Hegerty, who goes by the nickname of the Governess, during the Final Chase of tonight's episode, securing a massive £150k plus jackpot.

ITV The Chase continues to air each and every weekday from 5pm on ITV 1 and also the ITV Hub with episodes also available to catch up with afterwards.
