Bradley Walsh breaks down in tears filming 'emotional' ITV show with son Barney

Bradley Walsh broke down in tears filming Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad.

The Chase star, 62, travels the world in the ITV series with his son Barney, 25, who Bradley credits with having "no fear".

As the pair travelled through Costa Rica, Bradley suddenly became emotional, telling Barney: “It’s more about the memories. The memories you make you doing these things, doing them with you. We are so blessed to be able to around the world and do this.”

Fighting back tears, he added: “I’m not upset, I find it very emotional, very heartwarming – I really do.”

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show previously, Bradley said of his son: "Barney is the man now... that I always wanted to be. And that's absolutely true. He's got no fear, he's young, he's finding his first feet in business and stuff. I just always wanted to do that.

"Anything Barney wants to do on [Bradley & Barney Walsh; Breaking Dad], I'll give it a go."

During next week's show, the Walshes have a go at climbing 130 ft trees, followed by a bit of respite at a dog sanctuary, which is home to 2,000 pooches.

They also meet a former kayak slalom Olympian, before going head-to-head in a time-trial.

The father and son are used to sharing screen time, starring in The Larkins together. Barney plays PC Harness in the ITV programme alongside his dad, who plays Pop Larkin.

Bradley's son has had quite a few roles since he began his career in 2013.

His first part was in Law & Order: UK before going onto play Kit in the episode Fatherly Love, alongside his dad.

Barney then guest-starred in Doctors in 2015, playing Tom Enders.

In October, the actor was revealed as one of the guest stars in the 12th series of BBC drama Death in Paradise.

His fans were delighted by the news, with many rushing to social media to congratulate the celebrity offspring on his latest TV venture.

The official Twitter account for the BBC show shared a snap of Barney smiling for the cameras in a blue polo shirt as he posed in front of an aquamarine sea.

Captioning the shot, the TV show's official account wrote: "We’re thrilled to announce #TheLarkins’ Barney Walsh is one of our series 12 guest stars!"

"Yay, love Barney Walsh. Looking forward to watching the episode he's guest starring in," one viewer gushed while another added: "Yes ...love Barney."
