Bradley Stoke man arrested after motorcyclist dies in crash

A man from Bradley Stoke has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist died in a crash yesterday (August 24).

The 29-year-old man remains in custody after the incident on Mumbles Road in Swansea, at around 5.20pm.

A 50-year-old rider of a green Kawasaki motorcycle died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed by police officers, reports Wales Online.

The passengers of a silver Ford Galaxy involved in the crash were taken to hospital, but the extent of their injuries are not known.

Eyewitnesses saw the Welsh Air Ambulance arrive at the scene where South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service were already in attendance.

A spokeswoman for the force, said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the collision.

"Anyone with any dash-cam footage is also asked to get in contact by calling 101 quoting reference 1900312713 or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
