Bradley Lowery mum shares emotional message to Everton supporters

The mother of tragic Bradley Lowery has admitted the support she and her son received from Everton supporters means the club will always hold 'a special place' in her heart.

Sunderland fan Lowery was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - a rare form of cancer - when he was 18 months old and passed away aged six in 2017.

The heroic youngster raised thousands of pounds for the Bradley Lowery Foundation, which continues in his honour to this day, with Everton donating £200,000 after he was mascot at Goodison Park for the visit of Sunderland in 2017.

Sharing the image of Bradley at Everton on social media, mum Gemma wrote: "This feels like yesterday, I can't believe it was four years ago!

"Brad was so excited to go out on the pitch at Everton, the crowd's reaction was just amazing. Brad used to cover his ears whenever the crowd too loud for him, even though they were cheering for him.

"All of support Everton fans have shown for my baby still blows my mind. Everton holds such a special place in my heart."
