Bradley Cooper has a hidden "mean, cold side" that he keeps hidden from public and can "flip on a dime", his ex-wife claimed in her explosive book.
Jennifer Esposito, who famously stirred the pot in February when Bradley performed that steamy Oscars duet with Lady Gaga, once wrote that an unnamed ex was "arrogant and a master manipulator" in the wake of their five-month marriage breakdown.
Her autobiography, Jennifer's Way, doesn't mention Bradley by name, but according to New York Daily News, the time frame she mentions fits when she was with the Hollywood star.
The 46-year-old actress described her ex as "funny, smart, cocky, arrogant and a master manipulator", claiming that she didn't "necessarily find him that attractive" when they first met but they quickly became a couple.
She described being asked out by the mystery man and ignoring "an entire marching band squad of red flags" because she didn't think the romance would pan out.
Sure enough, she and Bradley married in December 2006 but split months later in May 2007.
Jennifer claimed their relationship was unhealthy and she felt as though she was a "non-issue".
She added, "I became very sad and I felt very alone", before she attended a seminar in Los Angeles, after which the relationship "hit an all-time low" and within a week it was over.
Speaking about the couple's break-up, she said it happened: "Abruptly, rudely, and with the exact callousness that I'd come to expect from him."
Bradley has never spoken much about his love life, but did once say of his divorce from Jennifer: "It was just something that happened.
"The good thing, we both realised it... Sometimes you just realise it. It just wasn't right."
He went on to date model Suki Waterhouse - 12 years his junior - and their love lasted just two years before crashing to an end in 2015.
Bradley moved on with Victoria's Secret model Irina Shayk, with who he shares two-year-old daughter Lea De Seine.
But they split this month after four years together, sparking speculation his intimate performance with Gaga was the straw that broke the camel's back.
