Bradley Chubb believes Broncos are on the cusp of greatness

Bradley Chubb, drafted No. 5 overall by the Denver Broncos during the 2018 NFL draft, became a face of the franchise overnight.

He answered the call from then-GM John Elway that night, then answered to expectations with a 12-sack rookie season. Although the immediate production didn’t lead to a playoff berth, Chubb, entering his fifth season, believes the team is on the cusp of greatness.

“It does feel like we’re on the cusp of it,” Chubb said Thursday when asked by KMGH-TV’s Troy Renck if he believes the Broncos are on the verging of turning things around.

“I feel like this is just the year to make everything happen. A man of my faith, I feel like you always have to go through something bad in order to get to the good side of things.

“When a good thing’s right in front of your face, temptation and troubles, and all these things to try to make you detour of that path. But if you just stay on it — I feel like that’s what we’ve been doing around here — and it’s gonna break for us.”

On deck for Denver is a voluntary minicamp next week followed by the NFL draft next weekend. The work to return to relevance starts now.
