Bradford transformed into 1930's Glasgow for filming of TV show All Creatures Great and Small

Glasgow has been going through something of a sweet spot at the moment in respect of all the filming that has taken place in the city for different TV and movie productions.

Recently, streets in the city centre, west end and next to the Clyde have been taken over by crews for highly-anticipated new TV series Annika, hot on the heels of camera crews shooting scenes for Hollywood blockbuster Tetris and Bollywood movie Blind.

And now a little slice of the city has popped up over 200 miles away with the news that an area of Bradford has been transformed into 1930's Glasgow for the filming of Channel 5 TV show All Creatures Great and Small.

Filming for the second series is currently taking place in the area of the English city known as 'Little Germany', and photos from the shoot show how production crews have made it appear to be our very own Glasgow.

As well as vintage cars, cobbled, pollution-choked streets and an old red telephone box, actors are seen dressed in period attire as they walk down the street - which bears a resemblance to St Vincent Street or West George Street - and wait at a bus stop.

An old blue Routemaster bus also makes an appearance, complete with the number 38 and 'Dumbarton' via 'Partick' written on it as well as an advert for McVitie & Price biscuits emblazoned on the side.

To be fair to them, it looks like they are doing a pretty good job of turning the Bradford streets into Glasgow - although we can't help but wonder why they never decided to film here instead!
