Brad Stevens visits Red Sox spring training during NBA All-Star Break

NBA All-Star Weekend is usually about players displaying their skill in a less intense environment. As much as they’re working, it’s a more relaxed setting with no real pressure of winning or losing. Players just perform. That’s not been the case this year, especially for the Boston Celtics. After missing the last two games before the break with a right knee strain, Kyrie Irving will play in Sunday’s All-Star Game. Jayson Tatum has had to put up with more questions about being mentioned in trade rumors. And the piece de resistance has been Anthony Davis announcing the Boston Celtics are on his list of teams—along with the other 28 teams in the NBA that aren’t the New Orleans Pelicans.

Not sure how anyone can unwind while all of this is going on.

It appears Brad Stevens has found a way. Or he’s trying, at least, to do what he can to get away from mayhem for a few days. What better way to slow things down than taking in some baseball?

That’s exactly what Stevens did, per WEEI’s Rob Bradford, who spotted the Celtics’ head coach at the Boston Red Sox’ spring training facility in Fort Myers, Florida.

Maybe Red Sox manager Alex Cora can offer a bit of advice, having won the World Series in his first season as manager.

Looks like Stevens also spoke with Tony La Russa, according to MassLive’s Chris Smith. La Russa may know a thing or two about winning, as well.
