Brad Stevens gives update on Danny Ainge: ‘All signs are encouraging’

There’s good news in regards to the health of Boston Celtics president and general manager Danny Ainge, who suffered a mild heart attack on Tuesday night. Per Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, speaking to reporters following Sunday’s shootaround, Ainge “slept in his own bed [Thursday] night” and was “in good spirits” Friday morning.

“So all signs are encouraging,” Stevens finished.

Here’s a transcription of the full quote on Ainge:

Austin [Ainge] was here this morning. I did not want to bother Danny. The last thing he needs is me to reach out to him right now, I think. But Austin said he’s doing well, he slept in his own bed last night and he’s home and in good spirits this morning. So all signs are encouraging.

Updates will be provided as they become available.
