Brad Pitt has ruled himself out of appearing in any future Ocean's Eleven films during a joky acceptance speech.
Fresh from his Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actor, the star – who won in the same category at the National Board of Review – attended the ceremony in New York on Wednesday night (8 January).
“My goals in life are pretty simple right now,” he said. “Be happy, stay healthy and not get into a financial situation where I have to do Ocean’s 14. We’ll see.”
The ceremony’s audience included Bradley Cooper, Uma Thurman and Robert De Niro.
Pitt, who won the award for his role of Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, starred in Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, all of which were directed by Steven Soderbergh.
The film had an all-female reboot in 2018, titled Ocean’s 8, starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Rihanna, which saw the main trilogy star Matt Damon show up in a cameo role.
Pitt has been much more selective of the roles he picks in recent years, instead placing focus on producing as part of company Plan B. Their filmography includes 12 Years a Slave, Moonlight and Ad Astra, which he also starred in.
