Brad Pitt's Formula 1 movie, F1, has secured multiple nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards. The original soundtrack, featuring some of the most popular modern artists from a number of genres, has received acclaim since its release earlier this year.
Titled F1 the Album, it is nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, putting it in competition with the likes of KPop Demon Hunters, Sinners, and Broadway juggernaut Wicked. Recognising the input from Apple, Atlantic Records, and the producers of the movie, the category judges the creative direction and production of the soundtrack.
On top of this, two individual songs have received nominations. Tate McRae's Just Keep Watching, written specifically for the movie, has been nominated for Best Dance Pop Recording, and Chris Stapleton's Bad As I Used to Be has been nominated for Best Country Solo Performance.
With both songs released as part of the film's soundtrack ahead of its premiere, this is yet another huge win that only adds to the success of the production.
Music has been a massive part of the movie, with the soundtrack featuring a number of different genres, sounds, and styles from across the globe. The legendary Hans Zimmer composed the score, with the musician focusing on classical sound with modern and experimental electronic elements to assist in the telling of the story. It had input from Zimmer's long-time collaborator Steve Mazzaro as well as producer Lewis Hamilton.

“One of the things that I felt very strongly about was creating a sort of hybrid score between electronics and orchestra,” he told Rolling Stone. “For me, the orchestra was always the human that sits inside that machine, and the electronics is the machine.
"Having spent a lot of time talking to Lewis about what it’s like to actually be inside the machine, that really influenced how I wanted the orchestra to sound, how the tunes were written, and the grace and the beauty and the power of those incredible cars."
The soundtrack also included original songs from Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Rosé, Don Toliver, Tiësto, Roddy Ricch and others. These worked as promotional assets, too, with the objective of appealing to a wider audience.
Grossing over $630million worldwide, it became Apple Studio and Brad Pitt's most successful film yet.
