Brad Pitt 'prioritises kids' wellbeing' amid custody fight with Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt has reportedly been prioritising his kids' wellbeing amid the custody battle with Angelina Jolie.

Their fierce custody battle has played out in front of the courtrooms over the past five years since their divorce in 2016.

Most recently, the stars were granted joint custody of their kids with private judge John Ouderkirk, who was overseeing the case, ruling in Brad's favour.

The famous exes share their kids Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, as well as twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.

Maddox is not subject to the custody agreement because he is 19.

It's claimed the kids' wellbeing and wanting more time with them has been at the heart of everything Brad has been doing.

A source told The Metro : "This decision was a significant development towards Brad finally having additional custody but the process is still ongoing.

"His priority has and continues to be for his children's wellbeing and for more time with them.

"He has kept things private and this decision only became public after a response from the other side was shared with AP."

It's understood Angelina has been planning to appeal the joint custody decision made in recent weeks.

Their relationship ended when the Hollywood actress filed for divorce in 2016 citing irreconcilable differences.

Brad and Angelina were one of Hollywood's golden couples for 12 years yet they were only married for two years during their romantic relationship.

Famously during their relationship, they become known to their fans as Brangelina.

The actor was previously married to A-list actress Jennifer Aniston before finding love with Angelina.

Brad and Angelina had first met on Mr & Mrs Smith together when they starred opposite each other.

Recently, Angelina shed some rare light on her low-key home life with her six kids away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

The Those Who Wish Me Dead star gushed she was "very, very lucky" to have her "very capable children" as her team.

She told E! News : "I have six very capable children. Of course you wake up and you just feel like, "I've got to make sure they're OK. I've got to make sure they're mentally OK".

"But honestly I think a few years ago it switched and they're thinking, "I've got to make sure mom's OK."'

"They take such really good care of me and we're such a team. So I am very, very lucky... So I worry. I'm always the one who worries but I adore them. They're cool people."

In the same interview, Angelina revealed she had been "alone for a long time" now.
