Brad Pitt has matched a million dollar donation made by his ex Jennifer Aniston to a charity advancing the causes of black people.
Jen last week donated the seven figure sum to Color of Change after she was deeply troubled by the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Now Brad, who split from the Friends star in 2005, has said he will match her big donation.
A source explained: “Brad is really involved with the charity because of Jen and said he would match her donation.
“He went to the protests this week and was at her home the day after. They are both very passionate and want to help as much as they can.”
Brad, 56, and Jennifer split after five years of marriage and he went on to tie the knot with Angelina Jolie, 45, who he has since divorced.
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star has remained close friends with Jennifer, 51.
Color of Change is the largest online racial justice organisation in the US, set up to “end practices that unfairly hold black people back”.
Earlier this month Jennifer said: “This week has been heartbreaking for so many reasons.
“We need to acknowledge that the racism and brutality in this country has been going on for a long time – and it’s NEVER been okay.
“As allies, who want equality and peace, it’s our responsibility to make noise, to demand justice, to educate ourselves on these issues, and more than anything, to spread love.”
Brad joined other A-listers and thousands more at a George Floyd demo in Hollywood last week.
