Brad Pitt makes joke about Prince Harry at BAFTAs in front of cringing William and Kate

BAFTA award winner Brad Pitt has made Brexit and Megxit joke in his acceptance speech.

Despite being absent from the ceremony due to family obligations, the 56-year-old Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star had his award accepted by co-star Margot Robbie.

Picking up Pitt's award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance as Cliff Booth in the Quentin Tarantino film, Margot read out his amusing acceptance speech.

Robbie read out his speech, which says: "Hey Britain, I heard you just became single. Welcome to the club."

He also added: 'Wishing you the best with the divorce settlement', blah blah blah"

The joke comes following the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union on January 31.

After giving his thanks to his fellow cast members, crew, and director Quentin Tarantino, along with appreciating for BAFTA, he also had another zinger.

"He also said that he's gonna name this Harry because he's really excited about bringing it back to the States with him," revealed Margot.

She added: "His words not mine!"

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were then seen laughing awkwardly in the audience after the remark was made.

It's good they could see the funny side following the dramatic news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be stepping back as senior royals and drop their HRH titles last month.
