Brad Pitt looks identical to daughter Shiloh in incredible throwback school pics

Brad Pitt looks identical to his daughter during his high school years, unearthed photos have shown.

The 56-year-old Hollywood actor looked like  he was pursuing a sporting career during his early teenage years, with the photos showing him in an American football get up as well as sharing his prowess on the basketball court.

The photos date from his time at Kickapoo High School in Springfield, which he attended from the age of 11.

It is believed that he had a penchant for acting during his childhood but the photos show that sport was a factor in his formative years as well.

Pics from his school yearbook have been shared by MyHeritage , who have also colourised the images.

Brad is seen in full flow carrying the football in one pic, while another shows him trying to outwit his opponent while playing basketball.

Pictures of him posing with the school sports teams show him looking identical to 13-year-old daughter Shiloh, with his flowing blonde locks being the instant comparison.

Brad and Shiloh also share similar facial features at the similar age, which will no doubt delight his daughter, who he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, as she reportedly dotes on her Oscar winning father.

Brad was an active child during his school days, with membership of the golf, tennis and swimming teams also highlighted.

After graduating from high school, Brad headed to the University of Missouri, but he would not finish his course before the lure of Hollywood got the better of him.

He was reportedly two weeks from completing coursework in his Journalism degree before deciding that acting was his future and Tinseltown beckoned.

He moved to Los Angeles and took acting lessons from coach Roy London before getting his break in 1987, when he started making uncredited appearances in films like Less Than Zero.

The following year saw him land his first leading role, starring in The Dark Side of the Sun.

It wasn't to bring him fame and fortune though, as the film was not released until several years later.

He had to wait until 1994 for his proper breakthrough to happen, when he starred in Legends of the Fall, receiving his first Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

Fast forward to his recent Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and he dedicated his win to his six children.

He said when accepting the award: "This is for my kids, who colour everything I do. I adore you."
