1. Chiefs 5-0 (1). They finished off the Texans with _ what else? _ a punt-return touchdown by Tyreek Hill on Sunday night to remain unbeaten.
2. Packers 4-1 (3). Aaron Rodgers certainly has the Cowboys' number. The Packers now have won their last three trips to Dallas 35-31, 34-31 and 26-21.
3. Broncos 3-1 (2). Too early to say if they're legitimate Super Bowl contenders with Trevor Siemian at quarterback, but they have the Giants and Chargers next after a week off and should go on a roll.
4. Falcons 3-1 (5). Quarterback Matt Ryan needs to take better care of the football, and after a week off they are in a good spot with the Dolphins coming to town Sunday.
5. Panthers 4-1 (7). Wide receiver was a huge issue last season, and Cam Newton has some big ones in Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess making plays.
6. Patriots 3-2 (8). They get extra time to prepare for Jets after holding on for a victory Thursday night at Tampa Bay.
7. Seahawks 3-2 (10). Safety Earl Thomas was the catalyst for a defense that forced five takeaways in a road win against the Rams as they seized control of the NFC West.
8. Eagles 4-1 (11). Carson Wentz is looking like a big-time player with 10 touchdown passes and only three interceptions. Good thing the Browns didn't need him.
9. Cowboys 2-3 (9). Jason Garrett should know better than to give Aaron Rodgers the ball back with 73 seconds remaining and one timeout.
10. Lions 3-2 (6). Tight end Eric Ebron heard the boo birds after dropping a pass in the end zone. "(Fans) can boo all they want to," he said.
11. Steelers 3-2 (4). Ben Roethlisberger, no doubt, is prone to a little drama, and after five-interception meltdown (two pick-sixes) in a blowout home loss to the Jaguars, he said, "Maybe I don't have it anymore."
12. Raiders 2-3 (12). The good news is quarterback Derek Carr could return after missing only one game with a back injury. The bad news is they have lost three straight.
13. Redskins 2-2 (13). Week off to heal up came at the right time. The most impressive thing through the first month was a solid job by Greg Manuksy's defense.
14. Rams 3-2 (15). Jared Goff had a couple of shots at the end to beat the Seahawks. The Rams were in the game because they were tough up front on defense.
15. Bills 3-2 (14). They took a step back in loss at Cincinnati but they're off this week before the Buccaneers and Raiders come to Orchard Park in successive weeks.
16. Buccaneers 2-2 (16). They threw Nick Folk to the curb with the hope former Bucs kicker Patrick Murray can hit more field goals.
17. Vikings 3-2 (18). They're going to have to roll with Case Keenum for a while because Sam Bradford was a danger to himself and the offense in first half Monday night.
18. Texans 2-3 (17). On a weekend with injuries to some marquee players, the most concerning has to be seeing J.J. Watt leave Reliant Stadium in an ambulance with a fractured leg.
19. Jaguars 3-2 (25). They've built a legitimate defense. It starts with ranking first in the NFL with 20 sacks, led by six from Calais Campbell, a home-run signing in free agency.
20. Ravens 3-2 (21). Wide receiver Mike Wallace finally got going with 133 yards _ 57 more than he had in the first four games combined _ in a rout of the Raiders.
21. Saints 2-2 (19). An extra week off to prepare for the Lions sets up for an intriguing matchup Sunday. They resolved a glut at running back by flipping Adrian Peterson to the Cardinals.
22. Dolphins 2-2 (23). Chris Foerster's stunning white-power internet video and subsequent resignation will take the focus off Jay Cutler's struggles this week.
23. Jets 3-2 (24). Actual headline in New York Daily News: "Are Jets actually good enough to beat the Patriots and take over first place in the AFC East?"
24. Titans 2-3 (20). They have issues to sort through on defense, and without quarterback Marcus Mariota, it's a slog.
25. Bengals 2-3 (26). The offense is still scuffling after a coordinator change, but A.J. Green had big plays to secure a home win against the Bills.
26. Cardinals 2-3 (22). They haven't scored more than 18 points on offense in any game and were toast once they spotted the Eagles a 21-0 lead. GM Steve Keim questioned his team's football IQ.
27. Bears 1-4 (27). Mitch Trubisky looked good on the move, but they're fortunate this was final prime-time appearance because the supporting cast needs work.
28. Chargers 1-4 (29). The Giants tried doubling Joey Bosa and he was still a wrecking ball in the backfield as Anthony Lynn earned his first win as coach.
29. Colts 2-3 (30). All Adam Vinatieri does is win football games. At age 44.
30. 49ers 0-5 (31). Coming off their fourth straight loss by a field goal or less, the Niners need to run through three-fourths of the NFC East with road trips to Washington and Philly. Could be headed to 0-8.
31. Giants 0-5 (28). Ugly turned unthinkable when they lost again, with Odell Beckham Jr. suffering a fractured left ankle and fellow receivers Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shephard going out with injuries.
32. Browns 0-5 (32). Owner Jimmy Haslam has vowed to knock out the knee-jerk reactions, but Hue Jackson is now 1-20 at the helm. Process that.
