Brad Biggs' Week 5 NFL power rankings

Last week's ranking in parentheses.

1. Chiefs 4-0 (2). Rookie Harrison Butker knocked a 43-yard field goal through with four seconds left as the Chiefs remained the NFL's only unbeaten.

2. Broncos 3-1 (5). Allowing only 50.8 rushing yards per game while facing Melvin Gordon, Ezekiel Elliott, LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch. That's getting it done.

3. Packers 3-1 (6). They sure can use extra time from Thursday win over Bears to heal battered offensive line.

4. Steelers 3-1 (7). Antonio Brown went nuts on the sideline as he was held in check by Ravens, but Le'Veon Bell went bonkers on the field, rushing for 144 yards, two touchdowns.

5. Falcons 3-1 (1). They've turned the ball over six times in last two weeks and that caught up with them in home loss to Bills.

6. Lions 3-1 (9). They're 1 yard away from being 4-0. The biggest turnaround has been Teryl Austin's defense.

7. Panthers 3-1 (16). Of the upsets in Week 4, and there were some doozies, going short-handed to New England and toppling the Patriots was mighty impressive.

8. Patriots 2-2 (3). They added some big-time personnel on defense, including cornerback Stephon Gilmore, and so far that unit has been a major disappointment.

9. Cowboys 2-2 (4). Defensive lineman David Irving is returning from suspension and that should help unit that was shredded by Rams.

10. Seahawks 2-2 (13). Seattle is 30-26-1 in September and October under Pete Carroll. They play their best ball later in the season. Maybe second-half surge against Colts is a start.

11. Eagles 3-1 (12). Beat the Chargers and Giants by combined five points but they're keeping pace in rugged NFC East.

12. Raiders 2-2 (8). No one expected them to be .500 at the quarter point, and now Derek Carr will miss some time with a back injury.

13. Redskins 2-2 (14). Pain from hard-fought loss in Kansas City could be felt for weeks as injuries mounted, with cornerback Josh Norman going out among others.

14. Bills 3-1 (17). Upset in Atlanta has them dreaming big in Buffalo with talk of a first playoff appearance in 18 years. It was a huge road win, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

15. Rams 3-1 (20). Sean McVay is quickly on his way to rock star status in Los Angeles.

16. Buccaneers 2-1 (15). Running back Doug Martin's suspension is over and he could add new element to the offense.

17. Texans 2-2 (22). Deshaun Watson became the first rookie since Fran Tarkenton in 1961 to pass for four or more touchdowns and run for one or more in destruction of Titans.

18. Vikings 2-2 (11). There's no clear picture when quarterback Sam Bradford will return, and now they've lost dynamic rookie running back Dalvin Cook with torn ACL.

19. Saints 2-2 (26). They have yet to turn the ball over but the defense is the big story here. Kudos to the Saints.

20. Titans 2-2 (10). They are in trouble if quarterback Marcus Mariota misses significant time with hamstring issue coach Mike Mularkey called "day to day."

21. Ravens 2-2 (18). John Harbaugh says team needs to take some pressure off Joe Flacco as Ravens have been shut out in first half the last two weeks.

22. Cardinals 2-2 (23). Larry Fitzgerald touchdown with 32 seconds left in OT pulled out win over 49ers but this offense is hard to watch.

23. Dolphins 1-2 (19). Six points in the last eight quarters against the Saints and Jets for Adam Gase and Jay Cutler.

24. Jets 2-2 (30). Las Vegas over/under on wins for Jets before season was 3 {. Josh McCown has them sitting at .500 with the Browns coming up next.

25. Jaguars 2-2 (21). It's going to be a real slog to try to get to seven victories with Blake Bortles at quarterback, even if the defense is solid.

26. Bengals 1-3 (28). Andy Dalton was razor sharp with a 146.0 passer rating in Battle of Ohio, but beating the Browns doesn't constitute a turnaround just yet.

27. Bears 1-3 (24). It's time for Mitch.

28. Giants 0-4 (25). There hasn't been a more disappointing team through the first quarter of the season. It's not even close.

29. Chargers 0-4 (27). Three of the losses have come by a combined total of seven points, but that's a loser's lament.

30. Colts 1-3 (29). Hung tight for most of three quarters in Seattle but wound up being blown out.

31. 49ers 0-4 (31). Kicker Robbie Gould is 11-for-11 on field goals but they've scored only five touchdowns _ all in the Week 3 shootout loss to Rams.

32. Browns 0-4 (32). The Cavaliers are hooping it up in preseason, and maybe the Indians can make a deep playoff drive, because there's not much to see here.
