Brad Biggs' Week 2 NFL power rankings

Last week's ranking in parentheses

1. Falcons 1-0 (3). They open Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday night against the Packers in an NFC North tour to start the season. The Lions are up in Week 3.

2. Cowboys 1-0 (4). Their pass rush was nonexistent at times last season, but they got after Eli Manning from the jump Sunday night.

3. Chiefs 1-0 (9). Andy Reid has a marvelous 16-2 record after a week off, and after opening on Thursday at New England, it's almost like a week off getting ready for the Eagles on Sunday at Arrowhead.

4. Raiders 1-0 (5). All eyes were on Marshawn Lynch in his return after taking a year off, but their defense was sterling in a victory at Tennessee.

5. Packers 1-0 (6). Defensive lineman Mike Daniels was stellar with four quarterback hits and 1 { sacks against the Seahawks, easing concerns about the defense for a week.

6. Steelers 1-0 (7). Le'Veon Bell looked like a running back who had skipped training camp and the preseason, rushing for only 32 yards on 10 carries at Cleveland.

7. Patriots 0-1 (1). The last time they lost to the Chiefs, in 2014, Bill Belichick said "we're on to Cincinnati." His team won 10 of its next 12 games en route to a Super Bowl title.

8. Seahawks 0-1 (2). The interior of the offensive line looked suspect against the Packers; O-line issues have been consistent with the Seahawks for a while.

9. Giants 0-1 (8). All of those offensive weapons and so many problems protecting quarterback Eli Manning. Ben McAdoo needs to get that figured out.

10. Broncos 1-0 (11). They led 24-7 with 11 minutes to play Monday night and barely escaped with a victory.

11. Vikings 1-0 (15). Rookie running back Dalvin Cook is intriguing, but the offensive line has multiple question marks. Perhaps the defense can carry Mike Zimmer's bunch.

12. Buccaneers 0-0 (12). Hard to say whether the week off and having to leave Tampa, Fla., because of Hurricane Irma gives them any edge Sunday against the Bears.

13. Eagles 1-0 (16). They are fortunate top cornerback Ronald Darby wasn't lost for the season with a dislocated ankle after a strong opener at Washington.

14. Panthers 1-0 (17). Cam Newton was rusty coming off offseason shoulder surgery, but the defense looked oiled up in a thumping of the lowly 49ers.

15. Lions 1-0 (19). Four touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford and a superb debut from third-round pick Kenny Golladay, who had two TD grabs, offer reason for optimism in Motown.

16. Titans 0-1 (13). They went with an onside kick to open the season, and it would have been a great call had it worked. It didn't.

17. Cardinals 0-1 (10). The loss of running back David Johnson for a substantial period with a wrist injury puts Bruce Arians' offense in a bind.

18. Ravens 1-0 (21). Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs began his 15th season with two sacks. Talk about a heck of a run.

19. Dolphins 0-0 (20). The team left Miami for California to avoid Hurricane Irma and will stay there in advance of Sunday's game in Los Angeles against the Chargers.

20. Rams 1-0 (26). They celebrated an exciting 46-9 victory over the Colts by signing punter Johnny Hekker to a contract extension. Now, about that deal for defensive tackle Aaron Donald?

21. Jaguars 1-0 (30). They lost wide receiver Allen Robinson to a season-ending knee injury, but the 10-sack effort at Houston was spectacular.

22. Texans 0-1 (14). Right on schedule, Bill O'Brien is contemplating a change at quarterback after yanking Tom Savage at halftime of an opening loss to the Jaguars.

23. Chargers 0-1 (24). They rallied in the fourth quarter at Denver, but a tying field-goal attempt was deflected. The Chargers are 1-12 against the AFC West since 2015.

24. Redskins 0-1 (18). Four turnovers, dropped passes and shoddy pass protection _ it's a small wonder they had a chance to claim the lead late in the fourth quarter of a 30-17 loss to the Eagles.

25. Bills 1-0 (28). It's rare that they are alone in first place in the AFC East. Their run defense played well against Jets, but the schedule gets tougher quickly with a trip to Carolina this week.

26. Saints 0-1 (25). It was no surprise their defense flopped Monday night at Minnesota, but their offense was a wreck in the red zone too.

27. Bengals 0-1 (22). After they were shut out at home by the Ravens, the Bengals have a chance to atone for the ugly loss Thursday night against the visiting Texans.

28. Bears 0-1 (27). There were positives to take out of their fourth consecutive season-opening loss, but moral victories don't count in the standings.

29. Colts 0-1 (23). Their 46-9 loss Sunday was so ugly that coach Chuck Pagano credited the 49ers afterward. It was the Rams who whipped the Colts.

30. 49ers 0-1 (29). They reportedly are exploring ways to improve the fan experience at Levi's Stadium. A better roster is the best way to go about that.

31. Browns 0-1 (31). Wide receiver Kenny Britt is under heat after a lousy Week 1 effort. Why didn't they re-sign Terrelle Pryor?

32. Jets 0-1 (32). One down, 15 to go.
