Brad Biggs' Week 2 NFL power rankings

1. Patriots 1-0 (2). Give Bill Belichick an offseason program to prepare for you and he's going to be very good. Winning at Arizona was impressive.

2. Seahawks 1-0 (3). Figured the offense would have a lot more juice against Dolphins in the opener. Line has issues to sort through.

3. Broncos 1-0 (6). Twenty-four touches for RB C.J. Anderson in victory over Panthers. He will carry the offense but can he stand up to the pounding?

4. Steelers 1-0 (4). Controlled clock with TD drives of 11, 14 and 13 plays Monday night at Washington. That's how you impose your will on an opponent.

5. Panthers 0-1 (1). Cam Newton always is going to be a target for opposing defenses. Might not want to run him 11 times every week although he's a beast carrying the ball.

6. Packers 1-0 (7). Even in a victory at Jacksonville, the offense looked disjointed at times and Jordy Nelson doesn't look 100 percent yet.

7. Bengals 1-0 (9). Players don't want to talk about their wild-card loss to Steelers last year. OK, now they get a chance to beat them.

8. Chiefs 1-0 (8). They return to the scene of one of the most lopsided playoff games you can imagine _ Houston's NRG Stadium. QB Alex Smith sharp in opener.

9. Cardinals 0-1 (5). Rookie long snapper Kameron Canaday could have gone through entire season unnoticed if he didn't bounce it back for potential game-winning field goal.

10. Vikings 1-0 (10). Mike Zimmer wants to continue the guessing game between Shaun Hill and Sam Bradford. I'll guess Bradford.

11. Raiders 1-0 (11). Just because Jack Del Rio says he doesn't do much at the casinos or with the ponies doesn't mean he isn't a gambler.

12. Texans 1-0 (12). They paid Brock Osweiler to close the gap between themselves and teams like the Chiefs. We'll see where they stand Sunday.

13. Giants 1-0 (23). Revamped defensive front did a nice job vs. Cowboys' vaunted O-line and Giants are 1-0 for first time since 2010.

14. Buccaneers 1-0 (17). Jameis Winston starts this season the way he played all last year, head and shoulders above Marcus Mariota.

15. Jets 0-1 (14). Todd Bowles was in no mood Monday to discuss loss to Bengals. "Unless you have Buffalo questions, I ain't going to be here long." All righty then.

16. Lions 1-0 (22). Concerns were loss of Calvin Johnson and the O-line. Eight targets caught passes from Matthew Stafford, who was sacked only once.

17. Ravens 1-0 (19). Held the Bills to 160 yards and 11 first downs. But it's the Bills we're talking about.

18. Jaguars 0-1 (15). Hung close with Packers but for Gus Bradley's program to turn the corner it has to start winning games like that on occasion.

19. Dolphins 0-1 (18). Had the lead late and allowed Seahawks to convert two fourth downs on game-winning drive. Visiting Patriots this week.

20. Cowboys 0-1 (16). Five targets and one catch for 8 yards for Dez Bryant. The guess here is Dak Prescott hears about those numbers this week.

21. Redskins 0-1 (13). Why can't the NFL's highest-paid CB, Josh Norman, follow Antonio Brown all over the field? Jay Gruden must explain.

22. Colts 0-1 (20). Feel like it's going to be that kind of season in Indianapolis where the offense scores 35 points and that isn't good enough.

23. Eagles 1-0 (29). Defensive line is probably of greater concern to the Bears than rookie QB Carson Wentz, who was solid in Week 1.

24. Bears 0-1 (24). Going to have to run the ball better, period, before they can run it by committee.

25. Titans 0-1 (25). Defense did a really nice job on Adrian Peterson, but 10-0 halftime lead over Vikings disappeared in a hurry.

26. Saints 0-1 (26). Same old story here. Supercharged offense. Brutal defense.

27. 49ers 1-0 (31). Browns fans had to be delighted to see 49ers get a victory to open the season.

28. Falcons 0-1 (27). They have yet to show signs of playing better defense under Dan Quinn, who arrived last year.

29. Bills 0-1 (28). Thursday night meeting with Rex Ryan's former club could put coach on the hot seat early. The real hot seat.

30. Chargers 0-1 (30). Philip Rivers is in a tough spot with No. 1 target Keenan Allen out for the season with a torn ACL.

31. Rams 0-1 (21). A 28-0 opening loss at San Francisco is uninspiring in every way imaginable.

32. Browns 0-1 (32). Josh McCown could offer a better chance for them to compete than RG3. But they still could stay locked in right here all season.
