Last week's ranking in parentheses.
1. Cowboys 8-1 (2). Jason Garrett was frontrunner for coach of the year before even gritty victory against Steelers.
2. Seahawks 6-2-1 (5). Completed a sweep of the AFC East with thrilling goal line stand in New England.
3. Patriots 7-2 (1). They have lost twice at home now in the same season for the first time since 2012.
4. Raiders 7-2 (3). Own a 5-0 road record and travel to Mexico City to play what counts as a home game against the Texans.
5. Chiefs 7-2 (4). They're 2-0 in the AFC West and atop the best division in football with three teams having seven wins.
6. Broncos 7-3 (6). Brilliant call on special teams by Joe DeCamillis for blocked extra point propelled them to victory in the Big Easy.
7. Giants 6-3 (8). Winning streak extended to four and Odell Beckham Jr. has declared the team has a "Super Bowl" defense.
8. Falcons 6-4 (7). Rookie safety Keanu Neal bringing an edge to the defense but it's a unit that is still too inconsistent.
9. Cardinals 4-4-1 (10). They're not clicking when a game-winning kick is needed to put away the 49ers.
10. Steelers 4-5 (9). Defense blew chance to upset Cowboys and suddenly Mike Tomlin's team has lost four in a row.
11. Texans 6-3 (11). Raiders will provide a true test for the J.J. Watt-less defense on Monday night.
12. Lions 5-4 (12). Jim Caldwell proving that he just might be the man to lead the franchise as Detroit is in the hunt to win the NFC North.
13. Eagles 5-4 (13). They are 5-1 this season when they manage to rush for 100 yards and so Doug Pederson has to be run-first.
14. Redskins 5-3-1 (15). Kirk Cousins playing well enough to get paid in D.C.
15. Dolphins 5-4 (20). Adam Gase has found the key to success as offense has gone four consecutive games without a turnover.
16. Ravens 5-4 (22). Lead AFC North but schedule is about to get serious and they will have to hold off struggling Steelers.
17. Titans 5-5 (25). They're calling blowout of Packers a signature victory but only if they follow it up with a win at Indianapolis.
18. Bengals 3-5-1 (14). With an extra week to prepare for the Giants, Marvin Lewis' team was not particularly sharp.
19. Vikings 5-4 (16). Five-game winning streak can be matched by five-game losing streak if they can't hang with physical Cardinals.
20. Bills 4-5 (18). Loss of center Eric Wood to injured reserve was big blow and look for Buffalo to shake up secondary coming out of bye week.
21. Saints 4-5 (19). If they can rush Cam Newton like they pressured Trevor Siemian in Sunday's loss, the Saints can climb back to .500.
22. Panthers 3-6 (21). Uncharacteristic fourth-quarter meltdown against Chiefs will make bid to rally for postseason berth especially difficult.
23. Packers 4-5 (17). Mike McCarthy has enjoyed a nice run in Green Bay but if Packers don't pull out of this tailspin change could follow.
24. Chargers 4-6 (23). Philip Rivers' four interceptions doomed them in loss to Dolphins as San Diego tried to climb to .500.
25. Colts 4-5 (24). Hope is they are poised for a second-half surge coming after off week but only if Andrew Luck gets on a hot streak.
26. Rams 4-5 (26). With playoffs unlikely, Jeff Fisher will reportedly turn to No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff at QB for Sunday's game.
27. Buccaneers 4-5 (29). Victory over the Bears was the fourth for Tampa in its last 21 games at Raymond James Stadium.
28. Jets 3-7 (27). There's no place to go but up after scoring six points in Bryce Petty's first start.
29. Jaguars 2-7 (30). Blake Bortles tossed his ninth career pick six in loss to Texans, the most in the NFL since the start of the 2014 season.
30. Bears 2-7 (28). Alshon Jeffery's suspension is simply the latest diversion for a bad football team.
31. 49ers 1-8 (31). All of a sudden Dec. 4 game at Soldier Field looks like it could have some 2017 NFL draft implications. Tickets available via Ticketmaster.
32. Browns 0-10 (32). Ten consecutive weeks right here and holding strong.
