Brad Biggs' mock NFL draft 1.0

April 02--1. Titans -- Laremy Tunsil, LT, Ole Miss: In need of blind side protection for Marcus Mariota, the hope is he's much better than other recently highly drafted left tackles.

2. Browns -- Jared Goff, QB, Cal: It's either Goff or Carson Wentz and the difference in level of competition for the two warrants a discussion.

3. Chargers -- DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon: Jalen Ramsey is worthy of consideration and so is a trade for a team wanting Wentz. But the D-line needs big-time upgrade.

4. Cowboys -- Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State: Jerry Jones said he will not draft a quarterback but Tony Romo won't play forever and the owner doesn't plan on drafting this high again any time soon.

5. Jaguars -- Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida State: Myles Jack would look great in the middle of this defense but coach Gus Bradley can make claim Ramsey is the best defensive player in the draft.

6. Ravens -- Ronnie Stanley, T, Notre Dame: Would not go wrong here with Joey Bosa but Ravens need to land some protection for Joe Flacco, and that's what Stanley provides.

7. 49ers -- Myles Jack, LB, UCLA: Would be next in a steady line of excellent linebackers for 49ers.

8. Eagles -- Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida: They surrendered a franchise-record 36 touchdown passes last season making cornerback a real priority.

9. Buccaneers -- Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State: Cornerback is a real need here but Bucs should be able to get a pretty good one in Round 2 and can't pass up a chance for an impact lineman.

10. Giants: Jack Conklin, T, Michigan State: After writing some huge checks for help on defense in free agency, the Giants need to find someone to keep Eli Manning upright.

11. Bears -- A'Shawn Robinson, DE, Alabama: Edge rusher would be a huge addition but Bears can make a safer play to fill gaping hole if they take Robinson, who has upside and should start from Day 1.

12. Saints: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville: The defense was a disaster last season and the rebuild should begin from the front on back. Rankins can be a disruptive three technique.

13. Dolphins -- Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State: Dolphins swung and missed on C.J. Anderson but first-year coach Adam Gase can get an even better back here if Elliott lasts this long.

14. Raiders -- Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State: Raiders have the makings of a very good pass rush and now they need help on the back end. Apple has good size and ball skills.

15. Rams -- Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis: Quarterbacks are drafted too high so often it wouldn't be a surprise if Lynch goes higher. Also wouldn't be a surprise if Rams trade up for one.

16. Lions -- Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss: He's not Calvin Johnson but neither is Marvin Jones, the player the Lions overpaid in free agency.

17. Falcons -- Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: There are concerns about a shoulder injury but if those check out Falcons can get a bookend.

18. Colts -- Taylor Decker, T, Ohio State: Protection of Andrew Luck was atrocious last season and if they're going to pay the quarterback this offseason, they have to keep him healthy.

19. Bills -- Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky: He has enough off-field baggage to keep him off some the board of some teams but someone will take a shot on the edge rusher.

20. Jets -- Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State: Should be able to develop as a speedy playmaker in the middle of Todd Bowles' defense.

21. Redskins -- Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Ole Miss: Possesses top-five talent if there were not so many questions about him off the field. Redskins can gamble for big payoff.

22. Texans -- Josh Doctson, WR, TCU: New quarterback Brock Osweiler needs someone else to throw to other than DeAndre Hopkins.

23. Vikings -- Cody Whitehair, G, Kansas State: Viking really need a big-bodied wide receiver with sure hands and if that's not here, they can't go wrong with a guard who can start immediately.

24. Bengals -- Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor: There are concerns about his hands and some wonder if he will be a slot receiver because of his size but he can fly.

25. Steelers -- William Jackson III, CB, Houston: He has good size and Steelers have a need even after drafting two cornerbacks in the first four rounds a year ago.

26. Seahawks -- Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama: Seahawks need to replenish the ranks on the interior of the defensive line and Reed can help in the rotation right away.

27. Packers -- Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama: Packers are moving Clay Matthews back outside where he's at his best and Ragland gives them a run-stopping force.

28. Chiefs -- Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia: Losing Justin Houston for perhaps the entire season leaves a hole on the defense, one Floyd can help fill as a pass rusher.

29. Cardinals -- Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson: He lacks ideal size but is a fiery competitor and that makes him an excellent fit for Bruce Arians.

30. Panthers -- Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State: They brought back Charles Johnson on a reduced salary but are in need of a greater presence off the edge. Ogbah could develop with Kony Ealy.

31. Broncos -- Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State: He can learn behind Mark Sanchez in the hopes he develops like Osweiler, but at a faster rate.

Patriots lost their first-round pick as result of Tom Brady ball deflation investigation.
