The question: What’s the best brewery in America?
The resounding answer, according to voters: The Answer Brewpub.
Richmond, Va. happens to be one of the best beer towns in America these days, and The Answer is one of its stalwarts. It reached the finals by beating Side Project out of Missouri, The Veil (also from Richmond), Brooklyn’s Other Half and Tree House, from Massachusetts. That set up a match with Southern California’s Monkish.
Fans of The Answer came out in force.
Tree House narrowly edged Vermont’s Hill Farmstead for bronze.
Really, though, it’s beer, and there’s a lot of it around in the U.S. these days — the real stuff, crafted by somebody right there where you live, likely served in a tap room that’s meant to allow the community to gather and enjoy. You can hardly go wrong with that.
