Boystown performer goes home without the crown on 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

May 17--Season eight of "RuPaul's Drag Race" came to an end Monday night, and so did Kim Chi's chances of becoming "America's Next Drag Superstar." The Boystown performer made it to the finals where she faced off against Bob the Drag Queen and Naomi Smalls for the title and $100,000.

In the end, Bob the Drag Queen stole the show.

"This season was the most competitive ever," said RuPaul. "And still, all things considered, America's Next Drag Superstar could only be Bob the Drag Queen. Her charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent is gigantic, and the world of entertainment has been blessed with a bright new star! Kim Chi and Naomi Smalls are so much more than runner-ups. They are gorgeous, talented queens who have captured the hearts and imaginations of the world and are destined for greatness."

Kim Chi hopes this won't be the last we hear from her. In an interview with the Tribune last week, Chi said she has set a goal of joining "Dancing with the Stars."

RuPaul will be back this summer with "RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 8 RuVealed," which premieres Sunday, June 5 on Logo.
