Boys threaten Asda staff in vile tirade before dad drags one back to say sorry

Two boys were caught on camera threatening supermarket employees before one's dad marched him back to the shop to apologise.

In the clip, the pair of kids are seen shouting and swearing at staff members guarding the entrance to an Asda store in Gosport, Hampshire on Easter Monday.

One shouts: "I'll jump on his head fam - do you understand?"

As the barrage of abuse continues, a colleague pulls one staff member back as she slowly walks towards the two culprits.

One of the youths warns he will come back to the store later on while the other says: "I'll cut you up."

They then get on their bikes and ride away as one says: "I'm going to f****** come back here and slice you up you little c***."

As they are leaving, a woman asks how old they are and one of the boys responds "what are you f***** laughing at?" and another says: "You look about 80-years-old."

The disturbing incident was apparently filmed by a man from Gosport and uploaded to Twitter by his stepdaughter.

She wrote: "My stepdad got a shot of Gosport finest outside Asda this afternoon."

She later tweeted that one of the boys was "dragged back by his dad to apologise", nicknaming her stepdad "the Gandhi of Gosport".

One of the culprit's dads then uploaded a photo and video clip of his boy saying sorry to staff, adding he had "never been more disgusted".

In the video, the sheepish boy mumbles: "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I was just angry."

His angry dad then presses him to say he is sorry, labelling him a "vile-mouth little b*****d".

The parent added he had reported his son missing to Hampshire Police when he hadn't returned as expected from his daily exercise.

One of the boys' dads said he was "humiliated and mortified" by the incident (Twitter)

"Both myself and my wife take the Covid-19 pandemic very seriously," he said.

"For everyone who has seen a video of this boy threatening members of staff at Asda yesterday.

"As a dad I have never been more disgusted and mortified with my son in my life.

"He has not been brought up to behave in this manner and I do not condone his behaviour at all.

"Just to let you all know, the police have been notified and evidence has been sent - it is now over to them to decide what they wish to do.

"Also, the police were notified at the first point of call when he was not back from his daily exercise.

"I just want to point out for those who blame the parents this is not, and I repeat not, how we have brought him up."

He added: "This video is a public apology to all the members of staff and public at Asda yesterday."

A spokesman for Hampshire Police confirmed it had received a report at around 4.30pm in relation to an assault at the Asda in Dock Road.

They added officers are aware of the video showing the incident.
