Boys, 14, wearing masks 'attack man' in Liverpool city centre

Police received a report that two boys wearing masks attacked a man in Liverpool city centre.

The incident is said to have happened at around 7.45pm last night on London Road.

 The boys, said to be 14, are said to have assaulted the man and then headed in the direction of the Lord Warden pub.

Police said that at this stage the reports were 'unconfirmed' and the victim has not yet been traced.

A police spokesman said to the ECHO: "We can confirm a report was received of an assault in Liverpool city centre yesterday, Monday 8 July. 

"At around 7.45pm, unconfirmed reports were received of two male youths assaulting a man on London Road, before walking off towards the Lord Warden pub.

"They were described as white males around 14 years old, both wearing masks. One had black hair and was wearing black pants, a black t-shirt and black shoes.

"Officers attended and no victim or offenders were located."
