Boyhood Liverpool fan Conor Coady fires warning ahead of crucial Premier League showdown against Wolves

Boyhood Liverpool fan Conor Coady has fired a warning to Jurgen Klopp's side ahead of Wolves visit to Anfield this Sunday.

Divock Origi's late winner at St James' Park on Saturday ensured Liverpool's Premier League title race with Manchester City will go down to the wire.

And Nuno Esperito Santo's seventh-placed team are focused on upsetting any potential celebrations.

Wolves' skipper, Coady, has vowed his side are "going there to win".

The 26-year-old, who was a Liverpool academy graduate, has also received an influx of ticket requests for the clash.

Coady said: "Everybody knows I supported Liverpool growing up but I'm playing for Wolves now.

"I look at Liverpool's results and hope they win games - it's as simple as that.

"But I play for Wolves now and I play for this football club no matter who we are playing against. We're going there to win and that's the mentality we'll all have.

"My mates are all Liverpool season ticket holders. They keep saying things to me about it. I've had millions of ticket requests, absolutely millions. I don't know how I'm going to do it to be honest."

Reds fans will first be hoping for a huge favour from Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City as they visit the Etihad on Monday night.

If Pep Guardiola's team do win, they travel to Brighton on the final day knowing victory would see them crowned champions for the second season running.
