A woman six months pregnant has been found beheaded in her apartment on the Costa Blanca.
The decapitated body of Isabell Elena Răducanu was found by her Spanish partner at 4.10pm yesterday afternoon.
Juan Vicente returned to the Xativa flat from his field work to discover his 36-year-old girlfriend lying naked in bed with a large knife wound to the side of her neck.
The 32-year-old confirmed that Miss Răducanu had worked as a prostitute and was six months pregnant with his child at the time of her death.
The Romanian woman had an eight-year-old daughter, El Pais reported.
A day of mourning was declared in the mid-sized Spanish town by its mayor, who urged people to pay their respects by coming to the town hall at noon on Wednesday.
