The boyfriend of a British woman found dead in a Swiss hotel amid claims of a sex game gone wrong has been arrested on suspicion of homicide.
Anna Florence Reed, 22, was discovered lifeless in the bathroom of the La Palma au Lac hotel in Locarno on Tuesday morning.
Police said a 29-year-old German based in Zurich had been arrested and was being investigated for a charge of homicide. The man, understood to be Ms Reed’s boyfriend, is reported to have told police that she died during an erotic game.
A post-mortem examination is said to have found that she suffocated.
Swiss police said: “A 29-year-old man has been arrested and a file has been sent to the local prosecutor with an allegation of pre-intentional homicide.”
