When it comes to ordering gifts, Daniel Varey is clearly not up to scratch…
The hapless 28-year-old’s instructions to a delivery driver got engraved on a gin glass he bought partner Hayley Woodward for her birthday – after he had filled in the form wrongly.
It read: “Can we have it delivered before Monday if possible as that’s her 30th. Nice one.”
Daniel’s message should have been: “Happy 30th birthday, princess. Love you millions.”
Luckily, Hayley saw the funny side.
Daniel said: “She couldn’t stop laughing. The order form had a section saying ‘note for the glass’ and notes for the business.
"I got them back to front.”
Hayley enjoyed a birthday drink in the glass at the couple’s home in Manchester.
She said: “It’s hilarious. It cheered me up about my lockdown birthday.”
