Boydstone Road incident: Man found seriously injured near Silverburn dies in hospital

A 32-year-old man has died after being rushed to hospital seriously injured this afternoon.

The man was found on Boydstone Road, which leads to Silverburn and the M77 motorway, in Pollok around 1.25pm today.

As reported on Glasgow Live, he was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the busy south side road was closed to traffic by Police Scotland.

Photos from the scene in Glasgow's south side show a black car cordoned off by police, as well as debris on the road.

A spokesperson has since confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries, stating: “We received a report of a man seriously injured on Boydstone Road, Glasgow, around 1.25pm on Tuesday, 15 September.

"The 32-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died a short time later.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information about the incident should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 1615 of 15 September."
