Boyband star Ben Adams could be behind Norway Eurovision entry, pal believes

UK’s Sam Ryder may be a strong favourite for Eurovision on Saturday, but another British singer could be secretly snapping at his heels - boyband star Ben Adams.

Norway’s entry Subwoolfer has sparked a guessing game more suited to The Masked Singer, with people sniffing around to discover who’s behind the duo’s bright yellow wolf masks.

Ahead of the final in Turin, a pal of A1 star Ben has told the Mirror he’s confident it’s him.

A1 fans had also claimed to recognise Ben’s voice when Subwoolfer left fans howling with laughter in earlier rounds.

Ben’s friend told us: “I’ve known him for over 10 years. I spoke to him the other day and he still won’t confirm or deny if he is a member of Subwoolfer. But... I’ve listened to the track and I could be wrong, but it certainly sounds like him.”

Ben, 40, lives in Oslo with his Norwegian model fiancee Sara Skjoldnes and their eight-month-old daughter.

It explains not only why the Nordic country might feel like his territory, but also why their novelty banger “Give That Wolf a Banana” would draw inspiration from children’s story Little Red Riding Hood. Lyrics include: “Have I ever told you that I really like your teeth, that hairy coat of yours with nothing underneath.”

Other Subwoolfer suspects include Norwegian band Ylvis. But the duo are not letting their guards, or masks, down yet. One show source said: “Most of the staff haven’t seen them without their masks, even backstage.”

Ukraine is odds-on 8/15 favourite to win on Saturday, with Italy second at 9/2 and UK TikTok star Sam (left, above), third. His track Space Man is at 11/2, seven places ahead of Norway at 75/1.
