Boy who 'wanted a stuffed animal' gets stuck in arcade machine

Emergency workers are trained to expect the unexpected and be au fait with everything from the downright dangerous to the outrageously unusual.

Florida's Titusville Fire and Emergency Services had a call-out that definitely and fortunately belonged in the latter category.

A young boy named Mason was dining with his family when he "decided he wanted a stuffed animal" according to a post on the organisation's Facebook page.

"He wanted it so bad, he climbed into the game to get that toy," the post read.

That's when Mason got stuck inside the machine.

"Thankfully he was never in any distress as one of our own [lieutenants] happen [sic] to be there off duty and assessed the situation," they posted.

The emergency workers were able to rescue the boy, "in short order with minimal damage to the game".

"Mom, Mason and friends went back to eating dinner, [Engine] 10 back to their station to await the next call," they wrote.

"Pretty sure it won't be the same as their last."
