A two-year-old boy is dead after being thrown off a quad bike in northeast Victoria.
The boy was a passenger on the all-terrain vehicle when it crashed at a Barnawartha North property at about 11.50am on Friday, police said.
Witnesses freed the boy from underneath the vehicle and attempted to revive him, but he died at the scene.
The driver is assisting police and the exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
