The boy accused of killing a fellow teenager at a Canberra skatepark will fight a murder charge in the ACT Supreme Court.
Magistrate Robert Cook on Monday committed the 16-year-old, who cannot be identified because he is underage, for trial.
The boy has pleaded not guilty to the murder of an 18-year-old man, whose name is also prohibited from publication.
He also denies an allegation of affray, which is linked to the same brawl at the Weston skatepark in September 2020.
A total of nine children and adults have been charged over the fight, which police allege was sparked by a war of words on Snapchat.
The boy accused of murder allegedly stabbed the victim six times during the melee.
He later allegedly showed some of the other brawlers a knife and told them "I just stabbed someone" and "I shanked him".
The boy is further accused of being involved in an assault at his school a month after the skatepark skirmish.
He has pleaded not guilty two charges laid over the school incident, and is set to face a hearing into those allegations in the ACT Children's Court on August 31.
His first appearance in the Supreme Court on the skatepark charges has been listed for June 3.
