Boy threatened with 'knife' during terrifying Southmead robbery

A teenager was threatened with what is believed to be a knife during a terrifying robbery in a part of Bristol.

Officers at Avon and Somerset Police have launched an investigation following the incident on the pedestrian route adjacent to Knole Lane in Southmead.

It's alleged the 16-year-old victim was approached at 10pm on Tuesday, September 8, as the thief demanded his Samsung wireless ear buds. the victim believed he was being threatened with a knife in the incident.

Police are now urging witnesses to come forward.

A force spokesman said: "A man approached him and demanded his Samsung wireless ear buds. Believing the man had a knife, the boy handed them over.

"Officers carried out a search of the area with no trace of the offender, who was described as black and aged in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing dark-coloured jogging bottoms and black shoes.

"If you have any information which could help the investigation call 101 quoting reference 5220204272."
