Boy shot in the head with pellet gun in Edinburgh park during disturbance

A young boy was shot in the head with a pellet gun during a disturbance in a park in the north of Edinburgh.

The victim was left with a pellet lodged in the skin of his forehead following the incident on Monday evening.

It's understood he was hit during a dispute between two groups of young people.

Police are investigating the incident in Easter Drylaw Park after it was reported to them the following day.

They said the victim sustained minor injuries and enquiries are ongoing.
