Boy, seven, rushed to hospital with fractured collarbone and eye socket following serious crash

A boy was rushed to hospital following a serious crash in Rossendale.

The incident happened at on Pennine Road in the Bacup area at around 4.45pm on Tuesday (June 18).

The collision involved a seven-year-old boy and a Nissan Juke, according to Lancs Live.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, rushed to the scene.

Lancashire Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to contact them.

A spokesperson said: "A seven-year-old boy was injured in a collision in Bacup.

"The incident happened on Pennine Road at about 4.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 18) when the boy was involved in a collision with a Nissan Juke.

"The youngster suffered a fractured collarbone and eye socket and was taken to Alder Hey Hospital."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 1060 of June 18.
