Boy saved 96,5000 arcade tickets for giant Minion - now he has new plan for them

A boy who spent six years saving 96,500 arcade tickets for a giant Minions toy has vowed to donate his stash to charity.

Jack Barker was just four when he spotted the cartoon character prize at Chessington World of Adventures, and vowed to win enough tickets to trade for it.

Now 10, he has amassed a 3st mountain – large enough to fill two wheelbarrows – and wants to share it with less fortunate kids.

Jack, who has used 6,000 tickets for a drone, said: “I’d like to give prizes to people that don’t get to go to arcades or have very much money, so they can be lucky like me.”

Dad, Paul, 47, a mechanic from Fetcham, Surrey, said he was proud of his son, but joked that the haul had not come cheap.

He said: “It’s pretty good of him... I dread to think how much we’ve spent in the arcades – it would run into the thousands.”

The pair hope a charity that takes children to the Surrey theme park will want the tickets.
