Boy rushed to hospital after being struck by car in Grangemouth as cops close road

A teenager has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Grangemouth.

Police were called to Abbott’s Road, Grangemouth after a 13-year-old boy was hit by a car at 8am on Friday, October 2.

An ambulance and specialist paramedic response car were sent to the scene after the incident.

The boy was rushed to Forth Valley Hospital.

His condition is currently unknown.

Seven police vehicles and a number of officers had stood guard at the scene, but the road has now re-opened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a collision involving a car and a 13-year-old boy on Abbotts Road, Grangemouth, around 7.45am on Friday, 2 October, 2020. The boy has been taken to Forth Valley Hospital. The road has re-opened."
